How to quickly sell seasonal goods

In Udmurtia, a food retail chain with over 120 outlets faced a challenge of selling seasonal goods in a short time.

The operational tasks of both a marketer and a category manager can be tackled with promos planned in the Loyalty Culture system:

Product categories were analyzed

The marketer has selected the “ice-cream lovers” category and the promo category and set a 15% discount. The shops where the promo would be launched have also been selected.

Target population was configured

The promo was available for the customers by the criteria selected by the marketer, namely: “Made a purchase over the last 50 days” and “Purchased products fall into “ICE-CREAM” category”.

Result :

15% discount on all kinds of ice-cream has been offered only to the target “ice-cream lovers” population; the customers were pleasantly surprised with the personal approach of the retail chain.

The retail chain has managed to sell the ice-cream stock in a short time avoiding the overspending on “discounts for everyone” while working with the target population.

The eligible customers have been appreciated for their purchase and received a pleasant “Gift”.

The retail chain has also received a feedback from the customers on the promo. The shop director found out that the refrigerated display case in shop No. 55 had been untimely replenished. He took the control over the situation in a timely manner.
